Biography

Nicola Sharp is a Senior Associate in Coleman Greig’s Wills & Estate Planning team.

Nicola is known for her professional expertise and compassionate approach. She holds a double degree from the University of Notre Dame in Sydney with a major in mathematics, which enhances her ability to approach complex legal matters with precision and clarity.

Nicola has more than eight years post-qualification experience with a strong focus on estate planning and commercial law.

Nicola is particularly passionate about helping families with vulnerable or disabled members navigate their estate planning.

Outside of her professional life, Nicola enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two young children. On Sunday mornings, she can often be found in the kitchen, whipping up meals for the next week.

  • Designing and delivering seminars on estate planning, both generally and for families with a child with a disability.
  • Preparing powers of attorney and appointments of enduring guardians for individuals and corporate entities.
  • Advising on estate planning and drafting wills incorporating testamentary trusts to achieve asset protection and tax efficiencies.
  • Managing estate administration matters, including obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration, and advising on issues such as overseas assets, intestacy, and the resealing in NSW of grants from other jurisdictions to enable administration of NSW assets.
  • Providing end-to-end estate administration services, including identifying and collecting estate assets, managing liabilities, and advising on and implementing distributions, including through deeds of family arrangement and appropriation of assets.
