Biography
Max MacKenzie is a Lawyer in Coleman Greig’s Family Law team.
Max has experience advising and representing clients across a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, property settlements, and spousal maintenance. Prior to joining Coleman Greig, Max worked within specialist Family Law teams in Western Sydney and Sydney’s CBD.
Max has appeared before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and has assisted clients through both negotiated outcomes and contested proceedings. He works with individuals and families navigating complex and often emotional circumstances, providing practical guidance tailored to each client’s needs and objectives.
Approachable and empathetic in his manner, Max is committed to making the legal process as clear and manageable as possible. He focuses on building strong client relationships through honest communication, responsiveness, and practical advice, while working toward efficient and cost-effective resolutions wherever possible.

- Experience in a wide range of complex parenting matters involving allegations of abuse, family violence and same-sex families in the Court’s original and appellate jurisdiction.
- Participation in various forms of alternate dispute resolution, such as mediation, conciliation conferences and negotiations.
- Experience in complex financial and maintenance disputes.
- Regularly appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, including instructing Counsel as well as the Local and District Courts.
- Child support matters, including drafting Binding Child Support Agreements.
- Applications for divorce.
