Biography

Chris Tohme is a Principal Lawyer and Team Leader of Coleman Greig’s Property Services team.

Chris is a senior property lawyer with extensive experience advising corporate and government clients on complex property transactions.

His practice covers all aspects of property law, with particular strength in acquisitions and disposals of residential, commercial and agricultural properties, including large portfolio transactions.

Chris has significant experience in commercial, industrial and retail leasing, regularly advising on large-scale lease portfolios and helping clients manage both day-to-day and complex leasing arrangements.

He has also worked on real estate and infrastructure development projects, and provides strategic advice on joint ownership agreements, titling and subdivisions, due diligence, and a wide range of real estate transactions.

His client base includes government agencies, institutional and private landlords, developers, and commercial and retail tenants.

Chris brings a commercially focused and solutions-driven approach to every matter, supporting clients across all phases of property transactions.

  • Advised a local council as landlord on leasing arrangements for a commercial office tower and retail premises in Western Sydney.
  • Drafted and negotiated commercial leases for a national professional services firm across its Australian office portfolio.
  • Assisted with the acquisition of land parcels across NSW for major road projects, including an $8 million site acquisition in Oran Park to support infrastructure expansion in South Western Sydney.
  • Acted on the $27.25 million acquisition of over 350 hectares of rural land in Mulgoa, addressing complex issues including biobanking agreements, water and petroleum exploration licences, heritage listed land, and occupation rights.
  • Advised a national building materials supplier on the sale of key real estate assets across NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
  • Assisted a professional services firm acting for a mortgagee in the sale of industrial property in Victoria.
  • Negotiated multi-tenant leases at key port infrastructure sites, including Port Botany and Port Kembla.
