Oran Park

Located just 14km from Campbelltown’s business district and 45km from Sydney’s CBD, Oran Park is currently home to over 7,000 people – with this number expected to rise to over 21,500 by 2026. The region is known for its beautiful parkland and community-centric feel, and will soon be home to several NSW Government Planning and Environment projects which will see the area benefit from:

• New schools;
• 148 hectares of open space;
• 12 new playgrounds, local parks and recreation areas;
• Around 18 hectares of employment land, including a town centre; and
• Improved connections to encourage walking and cycling.

Alongside precincts like North and East Leppington, Austral, Edmondson Park and Catherine Fields, Oran Park is part of the South West Priority Land Release Area. This area will have land released for housing, which will both help to place downward pressure on Sydney’s housing prices and facilitate connections between these growing areas and the broader Western Sydney Employment Area, as well as the Aerotropolis at Badgerys Creek.

Adding to this expanding list of new infrastructure projects will be the incoming Gregory Hills private hospital, plans for which were given the go-ahead by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment back in 2017. This state-of-the-art Camden Medical Campus will be home to 473 beds and will provide more than 800 jobs to workers within the Macarthur community.
