Biography
Ben Johnson is a Principal Lawyer working in Coleman Greig’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
Ben has more than 15 years’ experience working as a lawyer in commercial disputes, strata and construction law. His calm and practical approach allows him to provide clients with clear and straightforward advice and resolve disputes before they escalate.
Ben has extensive experience in commercial litigation, having worked for individuals and businesses of all sizes to resolve hundreds of commercial disputes. He specialises in quickly getting to the heart of complex matters and avoiding risks before they arise.
Ben helps builders, developers and subcontractors prepare, negotiate and administer contracts. He also regularly assists his clients with payment disputes and adjudications.
Ben works directly with owners corporations and homeowners to advise on strata law and help resolve building and strata issues.

- Won numerous claims relating to defects and delay damages in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

- Successfully defended clients in appeals to the High Court of Australia.
- Won Tribunal orders requiring owners corporations to approve special by-laws for renovations by lot owners on several occasions.
