Coleman Greig Lawyers is honoured to be listed in the top 25 best law firms to work for in 2020. The top 25 firms have been revealed in Australasian Lawyer’s second annual Employer of Choice ranking.

Australasian Lawyer is putting the spotlight on 25 legal employers who are making their best effort in uplifting their employees’ experience, amidst fierce competition to retain and onboard strong talent.

Law firms across Australia were invited to submit nominations and asked to provide information around employee engagement and retention metrics in addition to key initiatives and achievements in a range of areas from diversity and inclusion to training and development.

Now in its second year, the 2020 Employer of Choice winners were selected from over a hundred nominations received during the call for entries conducted in August-September of this year. Firms were asked to provide qualitative and quantitative information about their initiatives and achievements in the following areas: remuneration, training and professional development, career progression, diversity and inclusion, access to technology and resources, communication, leadership, work-life balance, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition, and recruitment.

The submissions were reviewed by an internal editorial panel with those demonstrating the most impressive initiatives and results overall being awarded with the Employer of Choice title.

“People have always been and will continue to be at the centre of everything we do, that includes our employees and the people within the local community,” said Coleman Greig CEO Warrick McLean. “Creating an inclusive culture is part of our DNA here at Coleman Greig. We are truly honoured to be listed in the top 25 best law firms to work for in 2020.”

Head of People and Capability Elicha Reitsma, said “Creating an inclusive culture is part of our DNA here at Coleman Greig. We pride ourselves in our ongoing commitment to our people and clients. Our unique culture has not been built overnight it is something truly special that develops overtime.”

Chair and Ambassador for Women in Business Caroline Hutchinson, believes “It is the people that make Coleman Greig a great workplace. I am so proud of each individual’s unique contribution to the firm and extend my congratulations to each member of the Coleman Greig team.”

Although the firm sizes on the list differ vastly, 1-99 versus 1000-plus employees – the core values presented by each employer remain constant. They all believe that company growth and meeting strategic objectives can only be achieved when they are investing in their employees and providing them with a fantastic work culture.
