Biography

Leora Tius is a Senior Associate in Coleman Greig’s Wills and Estates team. She has more than 10 years’ experience and holds a Master of Applied Laws with a major in both Estate Planning and Wills & Estates.

Leora has a strong interest in advising personal clients on their Estate Planning and applies a wholistic approach, often working in collaboration with financial advisers and accountants. Leora also advises clients in relation to the complexities involved in Probate and Administration of deceased estates.

Working closely with clients, Leora provides clear, strategic advice, and practical solutions tailored to their specific needs.  Leora takes care to explain legal concepts in plain language to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Committed to helping clients understand their rights and obligations, Leora guides them through legal processes with sensitivity and compassion. Her empathetic approach ensures clients feel comfortable discussing what can often be difficult and emotional topics.

  • Undertaking Estate Planning including preparation of standard Wills and Wills incorporating trusts including Testamentary Discretionary Trusts, Special Disability Trusts, Accommodation Trusts, Education Trusts and Life Interests.
  • Preparing documents relating to incapacity including Enduring Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardian.
  • Advising on superannuation in the context of estate planning including reviewing superannuation deeds, and binding and non-binding death benefit nominations.
  • Undertaking simple and complex uncontested Probate applications and administration of deceased estates.
  • Undertaking reseal applications.
  • Undertaking family provision claims.
  • Assisting Executors with the passing of accounts, as well as claims for Executor's Commission.
  • Acting for beneficiaries to ensure the Executor/s and Trustee/s of an Estate act in accordance with their obligations.
  • Assisting clients with preparing applications or responses to applications to the Guardianship division of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, for financial management and/or guardianship orders.
  • Assisting clients with applications concerning financial mismanagement by other person/s.
  • Advising guardians and attorneys of their fiduciary duties.
