Coleman Greig’s Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar Wins 2019 Family Law Partner of the Year

Coleman Greig Principal Director and head of Western Sydney’s leading Family Law team, Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar, has been presented with the Lawyers Weekly 2019 Family Law Partner of the Year award, at a black-tie ceremony held on Thursday 30 May at The Star in Sydney.

The Partner of the Year award presentations are seen as an opportunity for those within the legal industry to celebrate the significant achievements of senior Australian lawyers who demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, mentorship and business development abilities within their organisations.

Whilst Malcolm has been a previous finalist of the Family Law Partner of the Year award, his 2019 win has been seen as official recognition of both his outstanding client work, and his leadership and mentoring role within Coleman Greig’s Family Law team.

“Whilst I am obviously personally pleased to be recognised, I very much view this as being an award won by Coleman Greig.  Since I started here, they have given me all of the support, autonomy and encouragement that I could possibly hope for, and this has enabled me to build a team that is, to my mind, the best in Western Sydney, if not beyond.  This award is fantastic recognition of the quality of my team, as well as where Coleman Greig sits as Greater Sydney’s leading law firm.” – Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar, 2019 Family Law Partner of the Year.

An outspoken advocate for mental health within the legal industry, Malcolm goes out of his way to ensure his team and those around him are aware of the pressures that the profession can impose and the importance of maintaining and improving wellbeing.

On Malcolm’s win, Family Law Principal Lawyer Karina Ralston said:

“This win celebrates Malcolm’s transformation of Coleman Greig’s Family Law practice.  His ability to consistently advocate for clients at such a high level, both in and out of court, has resulted in immense loyalty from clients and recognition from the broader industry.  Malcolm ensures that his staff are fulfilled by the interesting work that they encounter in the office, whilst making certain that they continue to have a life outside of Coleman Greig.  This award win is an amazing achievement for Malcolm, and I am truly proud of him.”

Malcolm’s Partner of the Year win follows on from Coleman Greig’s recent introduction of a Family Law Mediation and Arbitration service – which is an exciting step in the team’s ongoing growth.  This same growth saw Malcolm’s team take on a fifth Accredited Family Law Specialist in early 2019 – a move which has placed Coleman Greig at an unmatched level of expertise within the Western Sydney Family Law landscape.

Coleman Greig Lawyers is incredibly proud to acknowledge Malcolm’s well-deserved success as winner of the 2019 Lawyers Weekly Family Law Partner of the Year Award and looks forward to witnessing the growth that will undoubtedly continue under his thoughtful leadership.
