The ATO continues its focus on the family trust, are you ready?

In this session hosted both in-person and online, Taxation & Superannuation experts, Peter Bobbin and Stephen Lau will address the substantial basics of family trusts, the critical 2025 issues and provide practical guidance on how to avoid them.

For more than 40 years, Peter has been widely respected for his expertise in superannuation, taxation, estate planning, and business succession strategy — though trusts remain his true passion and there is little that Peter has not seen.

Stephen has a particular passion for tax disputes and resolution, having worked both in the ATO and Private Advisory and brings a perspective from both sides of the fence.

The seminar will cover the following key topics:

  • The Trust Deed – what to look out for
  • Family Trust Election
  • Resolutions – when and how
  • Trust income and distributions
  • Section 100A
  • Common mistakes — how to avoid them and war stories

You’ll walk away from this session with a handy checklist of the key 2025 issues and things to look out for.

The seminar is available for both in-person and online attendance. However, in-person places are limited.
