An insider’s account of the Australian political scene

Coleman Greig Lawyers, in conjunction with our sponsors St George Bank, Moore Stephens and 360HR, are delighted to have renowned former journalist and politician Maxine McKew join us as our special guest speaker at our final Women in Business event for 2012.

An award-winning broadcast journalist, best known for hosting the ABC’s Lateline and 7.30 Report, Maxine McKew won a history-making victory against the sitting Prime Minister John Howard in the 2007 Federal Election. After working hard for the Bennelong electorate from 2007 – 2010 she was one of the many political casualties of Labor’s disastrous 2010 election and has spent the last two years trying to understand and document what went wrong.

Join us for a fascinating insight into the machinations of Australian politics and hear an insider’s account of the unprecedented events that led to Julia Gillard’s appointment as Prime Minister and resulted in mass disillusionment among the voting public.
