In August 2009 the Women in Business Forum was a fun event that raised awareness of the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Month.
Our speaker on the day was one of Australia’s most experienced and celebrated magazine editors, Deborah Thomas, General Manager of ACP’s Women’s Lifestyle (magazines) Editorial and Advertising Projects and former Editor-in-Chief-of The Australian Women’s Weekly. Deborah provided a fascinating insight into her extraordinary life – covering her personal and professional journey, her role as a mentor and how she successfully juggles a high profile career with her marriage and raising her young son Oscar.
Guests were given the opportunity to raise money for the NBCF through a series of auctions and raffles as well as the chance to win numerous prizes in the business card draw.
