As the first female boss of an Australian football code, Raelene Castle has many years of experience working in a male-dominated industry.  Having spent five years as the Chief Executive of the Bulldogs NRL Club, another ‘first’ for women, she made the switch to rugby union in January this year and has been charged with leading an exciting sport with an international platform for our Australian athletes to perform on the world stage.

Uniquely placed to discuss the leadership challenges women face, particularly in a male-dominated field, Raelene’s keynote presentation at our next Women in Business event will look at her own professional journey – from running Netball New Zealand to her current high profile role – the challenges she has faced along the way, and how we can create better pathways for women to excel in both business and sport.

Following Raelene’s presentation there will also be a panel discussion with Kristina Brice, Australian Netball player and Emma Tonegato, Australian Rugby Sevens player, showcasing how these female athletes have achieved their own personal goals, and what an increasing focus on women’s sport might bring.

Join us for an inspirational and motivational look at what it takes to reach the top of your game!

The event will also support the Western Sydney Academy of Sport, a not-for profit organisation that aims to provide quality development programs, in a range of sporting disciplines, for talented young athletes residing in the western Sydney region.

Bring your staff and clients to celebrate the achievements of women in sport and strengthen your networks by connecting with other women (and men!) in business.
