Shanni Zoeller is an Associate lawyer working in Coleman Greig's Employment Law team.

Throughout her time as an employment lawyer, Shanni has gained experience across a wide range of legal areas including unfair dismissal and general protection claims, performance management, calculations of leave and other entitlements, and compliance with modern awards.

Having worked with a range of small to medium-sized enterprises across a wide range of industries, Shanni has developed the ability to utilise practical, real-world examples as she assists her clients in understanding where they stand with regard to complex, often confusing, legal matters.

Regardless of the matter at hand, Shanni makes an ongoing effort to gain a thorough understanding of what her clients do, and of the factors most important to them within the context of both their business and their legal proceedings. In turn, she carefully tailors her advice to suit each client's professional requirements: no one situation, nor solution is the same.

By ensuring that she remains up-to-date and in-the-know with regard to the ever-changing employment law space, Shanni's clients can rest assured that they are in safe hands at all times, regardless of the potentially volatile situations that they may encounter. Taking advantage of her wide-reaching knowledge within the employment space, Shanni has previously been invited to present workplace relations lectures at the University of Sydney. She has similarly contributed to a range of articles on various Human Resources and workplace relations topics since being admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2013.

As a business owner operating in a labour-intensive Award-driven industry, staff issues are a part of day-today management, with efficient compliance as our goal. When we address a problematic matter we need practical legal and strategic advice with immediacy. Sometimes the advice assists with our understanding, and at other times it can redirect us to a superior strategy. In particular, over recent years, we have had to address new COVID-driven issues with broad legal implications outside the ambit of formulaic approaches. This goes beyond traditional law firm approaches as well as the capabilities of non-legal HR advisors. Shanni has provided us with the ongoing advice and practical solutions that we need. This has allowed us to successfully overcome both daily and strategic obstacles.
